Many of you will be aware that we have been having some difficulty finalising a date for the full orchestral workshop next year on the Manfred Symphony of Tchaikovsky. We originally hoped to put the date back a bit from where we have been in recent years to time it for after the end of the exam season in the hope of getting some students along. However, both the first date we thought of (June 30th) and the one proposed at the rehearsal for the last concert (July 7th) have proved to clash with concerts given by other orchestras that involve a significant number of our regular players. We have therefore decided to revert to our usual timing and go for June 23rd 2012.
