We offer advertising space in our souvenir concert programmes. If you would like your advert to reach many hundreds of people in the Malvern area, while at the same time supporting your local, amateur orchestra, please contact Linda Fowler, the CSO Programme Editor (programmes@chandos.org.uk). If you would like to support the orchestra in any other way, please contact any member of our committee.
We have a current advertising rate card (PDF) which gives you details. Please contact Linda Fowler on 01299 266657 (daytime only). Pre-designed artworks should be high-res PDF documents and sent to programmes@chandos.org.uk.
We have the Friends of Chandos which allows non-players to become involved with the orchestra.
Look at the Concerts page and then select the year that you want. The workshops are listed underneath the concert schedule. Workshop schedules appear on the Information page.
There are basically two methods for being notified of Chandos events:
Orchestra members can also get rehearsal and concert dates with the following method:
We do not provide a booking service for our concerts. If you wish to buy tickets before the concert please use the Malvern Theatres Web site or ring the Malvern Theatres box office on 01684 892277.
I have tried to make sure that the pages display on most browsers but sometimes things can look a little strange. I have tried Firefox, Safari, Camino, Opera, some varieties of Internet Explorer and even iCab which all seem to work ok. However there will always be problems — usually from Microsoft Explorer (sigh) — so let me know and I will try and fix it.
Use the TEXT button at the bottom left of the page and then print that page.
These allow you to receive some of the raw data that the Chandos site uses. Briefly they are:

For those who are interested this site is built on a system called Paloose, which is a subset of the Cocoon system, but written in PHP5 rather than Java. It all makes it much easier to configure on different browsers; for example; look at this site using the iPhone.
I would have greatly prefered to have used Cocoon but the problem is finding a hosting service to provide Tomcat/Cocoon at a reasonable cost. Transporting the entire system onto a Cocoon based server would be easy and remains an option in the future.
